The medieval Christmas drink is here! Blue Willow Heaven now has Eggnog flavoring for a tasty Yuletide coffee flavor. It is said that the early, medieval Britain folks drink what they called “posset”, a hot, milky ale-like drink. Eggnog became a holiday drink in the 1700s here in the colonies.
It is nothing like what my Dad used to make from scratch, which he called a Tom & Jerry, but it has similar flavors. I like it!
]]>For those who like the dark smokey tones, to the bright, fruity floral tones, this coffee can be roasted a light to very dark roast. I tend to lean toward the dark side, as it is the very best in flavor and roast. This coffee is excellent by itself or great in an espresso blend with a light Colombian and medium Papua New Guinea! There are numerous blends you can mix with Guatemalan. Just as the Red-Tailed hawk drifts over it’s prey, the Guatemalan coffee glides smoothly over your palate, as you experience the delicious, roasted flavor of these top-grade beans. Read more about the Red-Tailed Hawk here.
You can help support the Black Hills Raptor Center by purchasing some delicious Colombian coffee.

The love of the outdoors, created by Our Father, is an example of grace and beauty beyond words. Whether it is spring, summer, fall or winter, we can enjoy the majestic sunshine here in the Black Hills. Savor the creamy richness of Irish Cream, with the familiar flavor of vanilla bean, topped with a pinch of cinnamon as you sip on True Love’s Overlook. You will feel the warmth and love of all surrounding you. With this flavored coffee I use the Mexican or Brazil bean which is roasted to a light roast. If someone wants a darker roast, this I can do, but the darker roast with take over from the absolute bliss of this coffee!
]]>Limited amount left! This one is a top notch Kenyan. The elite of all coffees! The citrus acidity will show at any roast point. Great super clean and super sweet front end with hints of cranberry, tangerine, and citrus/floral with a little slight classic herbal note. The undertone is quite chocolaty but I will have to balance it out with the roast otherwise the lighter tones will hide a lot of the complex chocolate.
Roasting Notes: I avoid super light and quick roasts. It is best to have the roast drag it out a bit for those who like the bright African coffee, a City+ roast will give me what I’m looking for. However, if I want a complex and sweet cup that has some nice balance to it – I like to slow down the roast and shoot for right before 2nd crack. This might take some practice before I have it down properly. Despite that, this first roast was fabulous!
]]>Sulawesi is back! This is a VERY Specialty Coffee. It is an exceptional coffee! The creme of the crop Toraja!
First I must warn you, this is STRONG coffee. The Sulawesi typically is a very robust, but rather is full in your face strong coffee. It makes an awesome base for a good espresso. It has a full body, full mouth flavor. Some would say syrupy, I would say, ‘thick’. Not green acres spoon standing up in the coffee thick but a full flavored head on coffee. If you like good hearty coffee’s, then this one on its own is what you have been looking for all year.
As I have said in the past, this coffee can be an acquired taste. I mention this so that you don’t get it expecting a delicate daisy and get a big honking sunflower in the face.
